Today I ran across my dog’s collar while my Dad and I were cleaning out the shed. While I was cleaning the shed out I started wondering about her and of the hysterical things she used to do when she was a puppy. I remember the warm sunny day when we headed to a nearby dog pound in Laporte, Texas.

“THAT’S THE ONE” I shouted loudly at my Father as I saw the Green eyed pup that ran excitedly down the hallway and up to my feet. This pup was a six month old pup and she had Pit-bull/ Labrador in her with Orange and white spots on her upper-body. Sniffing, she jumped up to me and licked my face. As we walked up to register her she ran eagerly to the doorway. Once we ran to the car to take her home I could tell that she was a loving dog, because she would always want to lick me in only the three minutes I have saw her. As time went on I started to think what I was going to name her, “Star” I said to her in a soft voice”. After the long drive home we ate dinner and went to bed.

The next morning we woke up, ate breakfast and headed out for my grandpa’s. My dad and I had to work on my grandpa’s truck so we went over there to fix the truck and to hang out for a little bit. As we started working on the truck my mom called and said “Star jumped out of the backyard” in a panicked voice. Once we get to the house we start to get worried if the dog pound took her because there was common strays around were we lived. So we obviously looked at the dog pound first, but she wasn’t there. Second we looked were a lot of dogs go to, “the park”, but she wasn’t there either. So we just cruised along for about an hour or two and then went back home because it was already seven o’clock P.M. After we had gotten back from looking we ate and then went to bed. The next day we woke up ate and then set off to look for Star. The day was humid and very cold so I know that she wouldn’t be walking up and down the streets, so I looked for placed that were covered and low. Long after two hours of looking we decided to go back home to eat lunch. When we got there we saw something small and orange on the porch, so I ran to go look at what was there and it was Star! As my dad see’s that it is Star He gives me that look like” Oh-No-You didn’t” and then walked away. Body moving, nose twitching, Star ran to greet me after the long time scouting for her. She then went scouting for her toy so I could play with her. I threw it a couple of times to her, and boy she jumped like she was jumping over the Statue of Liberty on that last throw. Later on after we threw I had to go in to eat and so did Star. After we ate I had to go to bed. Once I had gotten to bed finally I thought of how much time Star has spent me for the past two days. Then I finally dose off to sleep.
